LDS Church Critics

Prominent LDS Critics (Anti-Mormon) Business Model:

 1) Flood social media with lengthy, negative videos about the Church (MONEY FROM VIEWS - see proof below)

2) Ensure videos contain misinformation and half-truths, designed to cause doubt or shake the faith of members

Then, in an act of self-appointed heroism, LDS critics address the trauma they cause by:

3) Inviting you to watch more videos (MORE $ - see proof below)

4) Inviting you to attend conferences/seminars (MORE $ - see proof below)

5) Offer expensive coaching services to help you deal with the trauma (MORE $ - see proof below)

6) Aggressively solicit you for donations throughout the process (MORE $ - see proof  below)

7) Sell vile products that spread hate and bigotry (MORE $ - see proof below)

8) Cultivate hostility to increase the population of donors to their cause (MORE $ - see proof below)

1)  LDS Critics Flooding Social Media with Negative Videos

The top 6 LDS Critics have over 5,200 videos and over 133 MILLION views on YouTube alone.  That doesn't account for views on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or other Social Media Sites:

LDS critics deny their videos contribute to a faith crisis, but the data does not support their claim:

2)  LDS Critics Misinformation and Half-Truths

3)  LDS Critics Push You to View More Videos

This is on the home page of the top LDS critic, Mormon Stories.  So what happens if I “CLICK HERE FOR SUPPORT”?   Am I put in touch with a professional counselor to help me?  No, I am brought to a page that promotes even more negative videos (which deepens my faith crisis and earns them more money by getting more views and giving them even more chances to solicit me for donations):

4)  LDS Critics' Conferences, Workshops, and Seminars

5)  LDS Critics One on One Coaching Fees - From Mormon Stories Website:

6)  LDS Critics' Aggressive Solicitation Tactics

The home page of the Mormon Stories Website has 4 different solicitation buttons on the home page alone, and their YouTube channel shows fundraisers on literally every video:

Prominent Critics ask for More Money but Conceal Important Facts from their own Followers.

7)  LDS Critics Sell Vile Products that Spread Hate and Bigotry

This video demonstrates the vile products many LDS critics are selling on their websites and social media channels.  These products spread hate and bigotry against not just LDS, but all Christians, and even non-Christians who believe in God.  Any person who has any respect at all for their fellow man would be compelled to condemn this behavior as inappropriate.

WARNING:  These products are highly offensive, and contain strong language in the titles of the products.  I leave them unedited only to expose the vile nature of what they are selling.  Please do not watch the video if you are sensitive to those things.

Either way, please remember the people producing and selling these vile products are the same people publishing thousands of negative videos about Church history, Church doctrine, Church leaders, etc.  Can anyone with this much hostility toward the Church be trusted to give unbiased information about our church?

8)  Cultivating Hostility - The Key to Revenue Increases

Beyond just shaking faith, LDS Critics appear to have a goal of creating contempt for the Church, because logically, those who feel contempt for the Church are far more likely to donate to them. This video demonstrates LDS critics discussing the financial benefits of sneaking an adult film star into the temple, threatening violence against Elder Dallin H Oaks, and calling our Savior's Atonement an "insidious doctrine".

Critics' Mock FAIR and Interpreter Foundation for NOT Making Money

Summary

It would be considered unethical for a doctor to intentionally infect a patient with a disease in order to provide treatment and collect a fee. Yet, LDS Critics expose members to literally thousands of videos containing misinformation or assumptions about the LDS Church, its culture, and its history, then in an act of self-appointed heroism "come to the rescue" by compassionately offering services to help the member, but in reality, are designed to deepen the faith critics while further increasing their own revenue.   It is a scam of mammoth proportions.

As Latter-day Saints, we must understand that prominent LDS Critics are exploiting members of the Church for money.  See pages titled "Mormon Stories Podcast" and "Mormon Discussion, Inc" to see their IRS-reported revenue.

In the words of Neal A. Maxwell, "Studying the church through the eyes of its defectors is like interviewing Judas to understand Jesus."

This brings us back to where it has always been.  The most solid foundation we can gain about the Gospel of Jesus Christ doesn’t come from critics or apologists.  It comes from God himself through the Holy Ghost.  He is, after all,  the source of all truth.
